'A friendly, local, good teaching school, with well led breakfast and after school clubs, good grounds and a Christian ethos

which is active in terms of leadership and local church input.'

Our Christian Values and Ethos

At our most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) on July 7th 2014, we were judged to be "outstanding" in all four areas of the report:

The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Sutton Benger school as a Church of England school is demonstrated through: “An ethos where children are valued as individuals and whose talents are given every opportunity to flourish.” SIAMS 2014

Our school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners:

“Its positive ethos, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, ensures each child feels valued and special.  Children enjoy coming to school and this is reflected in the excellent attendance.” SIAMS 2014

"At Sutton Benger a community has been created where Christian values are not only expressed, but are ‘lived out’ and are at the heart of the school." SIAMS 2014

I respect the values of Sutton Benger School which seem to feed clearly into the behaviour of the children, how they respect others and are kind and caring.'

Our School Prayer

This is our school

Let peace dwell here

Let the rooms be full of contentment

Let love abide here

Love of one another

Love of mankind, love of life and love of God

Let us remember that as many hands build a house

So many hearts make a school.

Our School Values

Our school values are based on 12 Christian Values and each term they are the focus for our school worship and learning.

2017 - 2018

Generosity, Compassion, Courage, Forgiveness, Friendship, Respect

2018 - 2019:

Thankfulness, Trust, Perseverance, Justice, Service,Truthfulness

Our pupil led Values Team monitors the effectiveness of the impact of the Values across the school and the current focus is how each class is recognising the values linked to their learning.
