The School is a vital and integral part of the local community. Our pupils take an active role in village life, are involved in community activities and benefit from close contact with other community groups, including All Saints Church and Benger Bears Pre-School (which is sited next door to the School).
In addition, we work alongside the other schools in our Trust and local area on joint activities such as writing moderation or sporting events.
“The promotion of community cohesion extends to the inclusion of the church and other organisations in the community – there is an exciting sense of inclusion.” SIAMS July 2014.
Over the year we hold a number of parent workshops, information sessions and parent forums in order for parents and visitors to become more informed about the learning we do in school.
FOSBS – Friends of Sutton Benger School is a registered charity. Our members are community contributors that are passionate about supporting our village school.
WHAT IS FOSBS?
FOSBS is our school PTA (Parent-Teacher association). As a charity, we work in partnership with Sutton Benger Primary School who give us direction to where funds are needed most.
We raise these funds through events held by our community to support projects that provide both educational resources and opportunities for our pupils.
We hold fun and exciting events for children, families, and wider communities to enjoy and make lasting memories.
