Collective Worship
We have 6 Values that we focus on over a 2-year cycle. We consider our values as seeds that we can plant in the children and that we grow over time. The more seeds we plant, the more our children will grow and flourish. Our 6 Values are:
- Respect
- Forgiveness
- Integrity
- Compassion
- Responsibility
- Perseverance
Our termly value is displayed in the school hall and in our classrooms.
Our Collective Worship throughout the week looks like this...
- Each Monday morning we have whole school worship led by Mrs Hine or a church member.
- On a Tuesday afternoon we hold a Singing Worship, where we learn new songs that support our Christian Value of the term or the church calendar.
- On Wednesday and Thursday, classes either take part in a Class Worship or Key Stage Worship, which follows up the learning from Monday's Collective Worship or explores key events or themes that are current in our lives.
- On a Friday morning we hold a Celebration Worship. Certificates are given to the children, including children who have shown the value of the term or who have demonstrated their Gem Powers. Parents and carers are welcomed to join us in person to celebrate.
We end each Collective Worship by reflecting on our School Vision: Together, we learn, grow and flourish.
As the Bible says:
“Remember this – a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.” 2 Corinthians 9:6
